Senior Consultant – Cyber Security

Responsibilities:

  • Cyber Security Consulting:
    Provide expert advice on cyber security strategy, governance, and risk management. Conduct comprehensive cyber security assessments and audits.
  • Risk Management:
    Identify and assess cyber security risks and vulnerabilities. Develop risk mitigation strategies and action plans.
  • Security Frameworks and Standards:
    Implement and maintain cyber security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls. Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Security Architecture:
    Design and implement robust security architectures for networks, systems, and applications. Evaluate and recommend security technologies and solutions.
  • Incident Response and Management:
    Develop and implement incident response plans. Lead and coordinate response efforts during security incidents.
  • Security Awareness Training:
    Conduct security awareness training for employees and stakeholders. Foster a culture of security consciousness within the organisation.
  • Vulnerability Management:
    Implement and oversee vulnerability management programs. Coordinate penetration testing and security assessments.
  • Compliance and Auditing:
    Conduct regular security audits to ensure compliance. Work with internal and external auditors as needed.
  • Documentation:
    Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for security policies, procedures, and guidelines. Ensure documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
  • Client Collaboration:
    Collaborate closely with clients to understand their unique security requirements. Provide ongoing guidance and support for security improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Cyber Security, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Cyber Security Consultant or in a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of cyber security frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Strong understanding of risk management and security architecture. Experience with security tools and technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CISA. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Additional Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in industries such as finance, healthcare, or government.
  • Knowledge of cloud security and emerging technologies.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory requirements related to cyber security.
